My new toy came in.  :)  I was so excited.  Once I picked it up and started playing with it, I actually became pretty frustrated.  I’m not used to using a prime lens.  I’m hoping I get past this frustration phase soon.  I’m encountering a lot of blur at larger apertures so I’m trying to work on that.  I also don’t think that it helps that my apartment has very little light.  The extremely low light is making taking pictures at what I think are optimal settings (from what I could shoot at with my old lens) really difficult because I have to change all my variables to compensate for the low light.  So I am trying to get used to using this new lens. 

Guess the only thing I can do is keep practicing.  I remember being pretty frustrated with my kit lens too when I first started going fully manual and have since improved.  I hope I improve with the 50mm f1.4 soon!  The frustration is killing me!
